Getting Started

Reczt helps identify songs by listening to you sing, hum, or play audio near your device. Choose your preferred music service, select your environment, and tap the microphone to begin.

Reczt is free to use, has no ads, and does not require a Reczt account.

Song Recognition

Reczt is not recognizing a song

• Make sure microphone access is enabled for Reczt in iOS Settings.
• Try singing or humming a clear, recognizable section of the melody.
• Reduce background noise when possible.
• Try a different environment setting in Reczt.
• If the first attempt fails, try again with a longer or clearer sample.

Using Siri

You can start Reczt hands-free using Siri. Make sure Siri is enabled on your device and Reczt has the permissions it needs.

Using Control Center

On iOS 18 or later, you can add the Reczt “Identify Song” control to Control Center. Open Control Center, enter edit mode, choose “Add a Control,” search for Reczt, and add it. Tapping the control opens Reczt and starts recognition.

Offline Mode

If you do not have an internet connection, Reczt can save your recording locally in an offline queue. When connectivity returns, Reczt can process the queued recording and notify you if a song is successfully identified.

If an offline search remains pending, reopen Reczt after your connection returns and allow it time to finish processing.

QuickShare

QuickShare lets you share individual song discoveries or Reczt analytics with friends and family using the iOS share sheet.

If sharing does not work as expected, close and reopen Reczt and try again.

Music Services

Reczt can open recognized songs in supported music services, including Apple Music and Spotify, depending on your selected preference and the availability of a matching track.

If a direct song link is unavailable, Reczt may open a search for the song and artist instead.

Customize Reczt

Reczt supports 15 languages and lets you customize your preferred music service, app theme, Auto Play behavior, and other preferences.

Your Data & Privacy

Reczt stores features such as history, analytics, saved clips, preferences, and Acoustic Memory data locally on your device. You can clear individual categories of data or clear all Reczt data from within the app.
